About the Role

Ikore International Development Limited is an international development organization driving sustainable social and enterprise development across agricultural and rural sectors. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Advocacy, Communication & Social Mobilization (ACSM) Officer to lead community-level implementation of farmer-led advocacy, communication, and social mobilization activities within the assigned state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mobilize, engage, and strengthen Farmer Organizations, producer groups, and community structures to actively participate in agricultural programme interventions.
  • Support farmer-led advocacy campaigns, policy dialogues, and evidence-based accountability initiatives between farmers and market stakeholders.
  • Implement community communication strategies, promote peer-to-peer learning through Farmer Champions, and counter agricultural misinformation.
  • Maintain productive stakeholder relationships with local government authorities, community leaders, agro-dealers, and financial institutions.
  • Promote gender equality and social inclusion by ensuring active participation of women, youth, and underserved groups in all project activities.
  • Collect high-quality field data, document success stories, and prepare comprehensive activity reports and field updates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Extension, Rural Development, Agricultural Economics, Mass Communication, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience implementing community-based agriculture, rural development, or market systems programmes in Nigeria.
  • Proven expertise in working with Farmer Organizations, facilitating community dialogues, and executing stakeholder engagements.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural value chains, participatory development approaches, and donor-funded project implementation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, facilitation, and report-writing skills.
  • Fluency in English and the dominant local language of the assigned project state, with residency or willingness to relocate immediately.
