We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Accountant to oversee our financial operations, maintain financial integrity, and provide critical insights to support our strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare comprehensive cash management reports.
- Process invoices, payments, and various financial transactions.
- Prepare and file statutory deductions and tax-related obligations promptly.
- Assist in budget preparation and accurate financial forecasting.
- Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct periodic financial reviews and support internal control processes.
- Assist with inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.
- Prepare schedules and documentation to facilitate smooth audits.
- Collaborate with management to provide actionable financial insights and recommendations.
- Support external auditors during annual audits and identify financial discrepancies.
- Minimum of an HND or Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software.
- Exceptional numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
- Previous auditing experience, ICAN certification (or in view), and FMCG or manufacturing experience will be added advantages.
