About the Role
GIG Logistics, Nigeria's leading logistics and e-commerce delivery company, is seeking reliable and physically fit Ad-Hoc Staff for Loading and Offloading operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our supply chain by ensuring that parcels, packages, and freight are handled safely and efficiently across our hubs and warehouses. Key Responsibilities- Safely lift, carry, load, and offload parcels, packages, and bulky goods into and out of delivery vehicles and storage bays.
- Sort, arrange, and stack items systematically in designated warehouse areas to optimize space and retrieval.
- Handle all shipments with utmost care to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement during transit preparation.
- Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety guidelines, utilizing proper lifting techniques and provided handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe operational work environment at all times.
- Report any damaged packages, safety hazards, or operational bottlenecks immediately to the supervisor.
- Perform other manual handling and operational support duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum of a secondary school education (SSCE).
- Physically fit and capable of performing heavy manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting.
- Strong ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, high discipline, and good attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays as operational demands require.
- Previous working experience in warehousing, loading, offloading, or general logistics is a distinct advantage.
