About the Role
GIG Logistics, Nigeria's leading logistics and e-commerce delivery company, is seeking a dependable and physically fit Ad-Hoc Staff member to join our dynamic operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our reputation for speed, safety, and reliability by ensuring that all parcels, packages, and freight are handled efficiently across our warehouses, gateways, and delivery hubs.
Key Responsibilities- Safely lift, carry, load, and offload parcels, packages, and heavy goods.
- Sort, arrange, and stack shipments accurately in designated storage bays and delivery vehicles.
- Handle all cargo with extreme care to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in compliance with workplace safety guidelines.
- Utilize proper lifting techniques and operational equipment as instructed by supervisors.
- Report any damaged packages, safety hazards, or operational delays immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily dispatch and warehousing targets.
- Minimum of a secondary school education (SSCE).
- Proven physical fitness and capability to perform heavy manual labor, including repetitive lifting.
- Strong discipline, punctuality, and a high level of reliability.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, freight handling, or loading operations is an added advantage.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by business operations.
