About the Role
GIG Logistics, Nigeria's leading tech-driven logistics and courier company, is seeking reliable and physically fit individuals to join our operations as Ad-Hoc Staff for Loading and Offloading. In this 3-month fixed-term contract role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and timely movement of parcels and freight across our various hubs and gateways.
Key Responsibilities- Safely lift, carry, load, and offload parcels, packages, and freight into delivery vehicles and storage bays.
- Sort, stack, and arrange items accurately in designated operational areas to streamline dispatch processes.
- Handle all shipments with extreme care to minimize the risk of damage, loss, or misplacement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in compliance with company standards.
- Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety guidelines, utilizing proper manual handling techniques at all times.
- Promptly report any damaged goods, safety hazards, or operational bottlenecks to the shift supervisor.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse and logistics team members to meet daily throughput targets.
- Minimum of a secondary school education (SSCE).
- Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive manual lifting and heavy-duty tasks.
- Strong commitment to punctuality, discipline, and reliability.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays as operational demands require.
- Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or cargo handling will be an added advantage.
