About the Role
Jaza Energy, the premier last-mile energy company building solar charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities, is looking for a dynamic Acquisition Team Lead in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end site acquisition, renovation, and installation process, managing a dedicated team of expansion construction personnel to translate validated sites into operational Jaza locations while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, recruit, train, and mentor Expansion Construction personnel to achieve regional site acquisition targets.
- Maintain a First Pass Yield (FPY) of at least 95% for site acquisitions, minimizing rework through strict quality control measures.
- Manage key relationships with vendors, contractors, landlords, and legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth lease negotiations.
- Oversee renovation plans, budgets, structural requirements, and safety protocols for all acquired sites before commissioning.
- Track and report key expansion metrics, presenting data-driven insights to the QA Expansion/Growth Lead.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field.
- Proven professional experience in site acquisition, construction management, or civil engineering projects.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and vendor relations capabilities.
- Deep understanding of local regulatory requirements and property documentation processes in Nigeria.
