About the Role
Phase3 Telecom is Africa’s leading aerial fibre optic network infrastructure provider, delivering world-class connectivity and network solutions to the continent’s largest telecoms networks, enterprises, and homes. As we continue to expand our operations across Nigeria and West Africa, we are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our fast-paced finance department. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial transactions, optimizing cash flows, and minimizing bad debt provisions through proactive collection strategies and excellent client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of bills to all corporate and retail clients.
- Drive payment collections on or before due dates according to customer SLAs to improve overall cash flows and restrict bad debts.
- Perform regular reconciliation of corporate accounts to facilitate prompt payment clearance.
- Engage clients consistently via calls, emails, and personal visits to resolve billing disputes and address account inquiries.
- Negotiate effectively with large enterprise customers for the recovery of overdue payments.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to review customer acquisition terms and jointly resolve billing queries.
- Leverage advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables to analyze large financial datasets.
- Utilize Sage Accounting software to generate and distribute accurate client statements of account.
- Bachelor's degree or HND (Upper Credit) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a fast-paced corporate finance department, preferably within the telecommunications or FMCG sector handling enterprise accounts.
- In-depth knowledge of debt collection processes and financial reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Sage Accounting software and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel.
