About the Role
Join the British Council, the United Kingdom’s leading international organisation for cultural relations, as our new FP&A CoE Manager (Group). Operating in over 100 countries, we build trust and understanding through English, Arts, Education, and Society. In this pivotal role, you will drive reporting excellence, process efficiency, and deliver standardised reports while ensuring high data quality for Group FP&A.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate the delivery of core Group FP&A processes, including consolidation support, monthly performance reporting, and budgeting cycles.
- Provide insightful variance analysis and first-pass commentary to bridge the gap between raw data and executive decision-making.
- Create and maintain standard reports, executing rigorous data quality checks and error monitoring.
- Champion the use of Anaplan to enhance analytical depth and delivery speed for key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Process Excellence teams to drive standardisation, automation, and simplification across financial activities.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, with professional finance qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Training or certification in Agile methodologies (Scrum Master, Product Owner).
- Strong demonstrable experience operating within international, multi-cultural organisations and providing senior stakeholder support.
- Commercial finance experience gained in organisations undergoing change and growth, with advanced report writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in English, with the legal right to work in the designated location.
