About the Role
International Energy Services Limited (IESL) is a leading multidisciplinary energy services company established in 1990, providing integrated engineering and consulting solutions to the oil and gas industry. We are currently looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable and Receivable Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will manage incoming and outgoing financial transactions, ensure robust cash flow, and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Generate accurate customer invoices, monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and prepare aging reports.
- Process supplier invoices and payment requests, ensure proper approvals, and maintain vendor reconciliation statements.
- Perform bank and ledger reconciliations, ensuring high accuracy in the ERP system.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities alongside internal and external audits.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and the implementation of strong internal financial controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting certification such as ACA or ACCA is a strong advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in accounts payable, receivable, or general accounting within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in ERP accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
