About the Role
Plantation Industries Limited is a leading Cocoa Processing Factory based in Akure, Ondo State, right in the heart of Nigeria’s cocoa-growing belt. As an offshoot of Agro Traders Limited, one of Nigeria's largest cocoa exporters, we process raw cocoa beans into high-quality products that exceed international market standards. We are currently looking for a dedicated Accounts & Finance Professional with a strong focus on tax to join our finance team and support our continued operational growth and financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all tax-related functions, ensuring full compliance with Nigerian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and file accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns including CIT, VAT, WHT, and PAYE.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors during tax audits, assessments, and reconciliations.
- Maintain proper documentation of all tax transactions and support general accounting and financial reporting processes.
- Utilize ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data, track tax liabilities, and generate reports.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and advise management on the tax implications of business decisions.
- Maintain high standards of integrity and professional judgment while working independently within a structured organization.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Must possess a recognized professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, CIA, CISA, or CRMA.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in finance, accounting, and taxation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in working with accounting systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel.
