About the Role
Plantation Industries Limited, a premier cocoa processing factory located in Akure, Ondo State, is seeking a dedicated Accounts and Finance Professional with expertise in ESG and sustainability reporting. As an offshoot of Agro Traders Limited, a leading Nigerian cocoa exporter, we are committed to responsible sourcing and delivering high-quality cocoa products to the global market. In this role, you will play a crucial part in integrating sustainability metrics into our financial frameworks while upholding our high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage financial accounting operations, reporting, and analysis with a strong emphasis on ESG and sustainability frameworks.
- Prepare comprehensive sustainability reports, carbon accounting metrics, and ESG disclosures aligned with international standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track, measure, and improve environmental and social impact initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, statutory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Utilize ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel for financial modeling, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Maintain high standards of integrity and professional judgment in all financial and sustainability audits.
- Bachelor degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or a recognized ESG and sustainability certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in finance and sustainability reporting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
