About the Role
ECOM Agroindustrial Corp Limited is a world-leading soft commodity services group specializing in coffee, cocoa, and cotton, operating innovative sustainability programs across global farming communities. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Accounts and Finance Executive to join our team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will provide robust financial oversight, manage liquidity, and ensure accuracy across all accounting and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and oversee the deliverables of senior and junior account team members while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Monitor internal control systems across office and warehouse locations, including financial oversight for physical stock counts and shrinkage investigations.
- Manage trade financing instruments such as Letters of Credit and Bills for Collection, crucial for agrochemical imports and commodity exports.
- Oversee currency risk and foreign exchange exposures in line with company-approved rates and optimal liquidity management.
- Analyze business costs including warehousing, freight, clearing, and port logistics to support operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal teams and statutory auditors to ensure seamless financial audits and compliance with IFRS standards.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (Master's or MBA is an added advantage).
- Mandatory professional accounting certification (ICAN or ACCA).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Prior sector experience in agribusiness, FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics and supply chain companies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and financial software like Sage Evolution or IBM Cognos.
