About the Role
Daffodils International School, an established private Christian-centered institution in Lagos, Nigeria since 2003, is currently seeking a passionate and qualified Accounting Teacher to join our esteemed academic team in Oke-Ira, Ogba. In this role, you will play a vital part in nurturing morally sound global leaders by delivering a rigorous foundational business education within a safe, secure, and stimulating academic environment. We are looking for an educator who possesses a deep understanding of financial accounting principles and a proven ability to inspire and mentor secondary school students toward academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Accounting lessons in accordance with the approved Nigerian and international secondary school curricula.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students, parents, and school management.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning and critical thinking.
- Prepare students effectively for external examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and IGCSE where applicable.
- Participate in school-wide extracurricular activities, departmental meetings, and professional development programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance.
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Accounting, Finance, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven teaching experience in Accounting at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of current teaching methodologies, classroom management, and curriculum implementation.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- Professional teaching certification (e.g., TRCN) will be an added advantage.
