About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our water production operations in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will oversee day-to-day financial transactions, ensure adherence to statutory regulations, and maintain robust financial controls to support our growing production facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, examine, and maintain accurate financial records, statements, and reports in line with company standards.
  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections and disbursements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts efficiently to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process vendor invoices, employee expense claims, and vendor payments accurately.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities alongside management.
  • Calculate statutory deductions and ensure timely remittance of taxes and regulatory obligations to relevant Nigerian authorities.
  • Support budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-term financial planning initiatives.
  • Monitor daily cash flow movements and maintain comprehensive, auditable financial documentation.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal policies, and statutory laws.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with internal and external auditors during periodic financial audits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing, FMCG, or water production sector.
  • Progress towards or completion of professional accounting certifications (ACA, ACCA, or ICAN) is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software or ERP systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and time-management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
