The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal university founded in 1970, is currently seeking a qualified and dynamic professional to fill the role of Accountant II (CONTISS 07). Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and periodic reports in accordance with university guidelines.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, ledger entries, and financial documentation.
- Process revenue collections, payments, and manage reconciliation of accounts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, NUC guidelines, and public sector accounting standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial reviews and audits.
- Perform any other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Bursar or designated head of department.
- Possession of a good honors degree in Accounting (not below Second Class Lower Division) from a recognized university.
- Mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or exemption certificate.
- Proven computer literacy and proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and enterprise resource planning tools.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
