Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and variance analyses for university management.
  • Ensure compliance with public sector financial regulations, accounting standards, and institutional policies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during routine financial reviews and audits.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage payroll processing for university staff.
  • Provide expert financial advice to departmental heads and support budget execution.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree (B.Sc./HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ANAN, or equivalent is required.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in accounting or financial management, preferably within the tertiary education or public sector.
  • High level of integrity, strong analytical abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Proficiency in modern accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
