Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and variance analyses for university management.
- Ensure compliance with public sector financial regulations, accounting standards, and institutional policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during routine financial reviews and audits.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage payroll processing for university staff.
- Provide expert financial advice to departmental heads and support budget execution.
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree (B.Sc./HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ANAN, or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrated professional experience in accounting or financial management, preferably within the tertiary education or public sector.
- High level of integrity, strong analytical abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Proficiency in modern accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
