About the Role

Workforce Group is currently recruiting an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant on behalf of our esteemed client in the hospitality sector in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, optimizing cash flow, and driving business growth through accurate reporting and robust financial controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting transactions, general ledger entries, and financial records with high accuracy.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
  • Monitor revenue, operational expenses, cash flow patterns, and perform regular bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely financial processing.
  • Support management in budgeting, financial forecasting, and detailed variance analysis.
  • Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws and other relevant statutory requirements.
  • Maintain strong internal financial controls and facilitate internal and external audit processes.
  • Monitor and record inventory-related financial transactions to minimize stock discrepancies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven professional accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or ANAN is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software including Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with exceptional numerical and analytical capabilities.
  • High level of professional integrity, confidentiality, and strong attention to detail.
