About the Role
Julius Berger Nigeria Plc is a leading construction company offering integrated solutions and related services, specializing in executing complex works with the highest level of technical expertise and Nigeria-specific knowhow. We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Accountant for our ABUMET subsidiary to support financial planning, reporting, and analysis, ensuring accurate budgeting, effective cash flow management, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to drive organizational goals.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in strict compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor cash flow closely and support working capital optimization across operations.
- Analyze operational costs and identify strategic opportunities for efficiency.
- Assist in managing financial risks and maintaining robust internal control systems.
- Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance and prompt resolution of findings.
- Assist in tax planning and ensure full regulatory compliance with Nigerian tax laws.
- Maintain financial systems and ensure data integrity and accuracy at all times.
- Provide financial oversight of procurement activities and support continuous cost optimization.
- Partner with various departments to deliver valuable financial insights and guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in finance or accounting.
- Must be a qualified or certified member of a recognized accounting professional body such as ICAN or ACCA.
- Demonstrated experience with modern data analysis tools and AI applications will be a distinct advantage.
