About the Role
Chieke Properties is a leading real estate investment company with exciting developmental projects spanning across Enugu and Lagos State. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our organization, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting our strategic real estate initiatives through sound financial management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for real estate developmental projects.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory deductions, and regulatory financial standards.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and project-specific expenditure reports regularly.
- Assist in the development of project budgets, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate seamless financial audits.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the real estate or construction sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
