About the Role

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing internal controls, ensuring financial compliance, and supporting our overarching mission through sound financial management and rigorous reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control frameworks, policies, and procedures across all operational departments.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews, spot checks, and testing of general ledgers, bank reconciliations, and vendor accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential business and financial risks while designing effective preventive strategies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, relevant accounting standards, and external regulatory requirements such as tax laws and AML/CFT guidelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive, detailed reports on audit findings, control deficiencies, and actionable corrective measures.
  • Train staff members on new policies, financial procedures, and internal control best practices.
  • Recommend and support the implementation of continuous process improvements and corrective measures to enhance financial efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Accountancy, or Finance from a recognized institution.
  • Proven professional experience working in internal audit, financial control, or a similar compliance role within a structured organization.
  • Professional accounting certification such as ICAN, ACA, or equivalent is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong, practical understanding of financial and management accounting principles alongside current regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in computer operations, financial software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and financial reporting skills with high attention to detail.
