About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and ambitious Accounts Intern / Graduate Trainee to join our growing finance and operations team in Nigeria. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate to gain practical, hands-on experience in corporate accounting while contributing to the financial health of a vital healthcare supply organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with recording daily financial transactions and ledger entries accurately.
  • Support the preparation, sorting, and filing of invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
  • Assist with routine bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Support the tracking of customer payments, operating expenses, and outstanding receivable balances.
  • Manage petty cash documentation and ensure proper expense reporting.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain Excel-based financial records, schedules, and reports.
  • Assist in maintaining organized physical and digital accounting documentation.
  • Support month-end closing activities and other finance-related administrative tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Accounts Officer or Operations Manager.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Must be a fresh graduate or an active post-NYSC candidate.
  • 0 to 1 year of professional experience; prior internship or industrial training in accounting is an added advantage.
  • Foundational knowledge of core accounting principles and financial practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and a strong willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity, responsibility, and discretion when handling confidential financial data.
