About the Role
WosAm Arena, one of the premier hospitality and leisure destinations in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee daily financial transactions, track diverse revenue streams across our hospitality operations, and ensure meticulous management of variable expenses. We are searching for a hands-on professional with strong commercial acumen who can maintain precise records and support our continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Document and track daily income streams from hotel bookings, lounge sales, event ticketing, and overall hospitality operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers, balance sheets, and accounts payable and receivable records.
- Perform regular weekly and monthly bank reconciliations to promptly identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure strict local tax compliance by preparing and processing monthly filings including VAT, WHT, and PAYE.
- Generate comprehensive monthly profit and loss reports to provide actionable financial insights for management.
- Monitor petty cash, streamline vendor payments, and implement cost-saving expense management strategies.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 4 years of proven hands-on accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality, entertainment, or retail sectors.
- Practical bookkeeping expertise is mandatory; chartered status (ICAN or ACCA) is not required.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, advanced Microsoft Excel, and modern cloud-based accounting software.
- Exceptional attention to numerical detail, high integrity, strong analytical abilities, and effective communication skills.
