About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our retail business. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling daily sales, and tracking inventory to ensure seamless business operations.
Key Responsibilities- Reconcile daily sales and cashier records, matching cash, POS, and transfer transactions across all terminals.
- Work closely with the store and inventory teams to track stock levels, monitor shrinkage, and post inventory adjustments to the general ledger.
- Maintain accurate vendor and supplier accounts, process invoices, and track payments due in a timely manner.
- Post daily accounting entries, manage petty cash disbursements, and assist in preparing balance sheets and income statements.
- Generate comprehensive weekly and monthly sales, expense, and profit reports for supermarket management to aid decision-making.
- Possession of an HND or B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally gained within the fast-paced retail or supermarket industry.
- Mandatory proficiency in Microsoft Excel, alongside working knowledge of basic accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho, or SAP.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail, exceptional numerical aptitude, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
