About the Role

We are seeking a competent and experienced Accountant to manage the company’s financial records, invoicing, payments, taxation, reporting, and day-to-day accounting activities. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the financial health and regulatory compliance of our organization, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit invoices to clients while actively following up on payment statuses.
  • Manage payment processing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and regular bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor client payments, outstanding invoices, and overall cash flow to support business liquidity.
  • Manage the company’s tax obligations, filings, payments, and statutory compliance.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support budgeting, financial planning, and management reporting processes.
  • Ensure proper documentation and maintain effective financial controls across all operations.
  • Liaise with clients and relevant departments on invoices, payment issues, and account reconciliation.
  • Utilize oil and gas industry payment platforms, client portals, and specialized invoicing systems effectively.
  • Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations.

Qualifications
  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the Nigerian oil and gas servicing industry.
  • Practical experience in client invoicing, payment processing, receivables, and tax management.
  • Strong familiarity with oil and gas industry billing procedures and payment platforms.
  • High proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid knowledge of taxation laws, financial reporting standards, and internal control systems.
