About the Role
COISCO, an indigenous oil and gas company operating in the downstream sector since 2006, is seeking a competent, detail-oriented, and results-driven Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, monitoring transactions, and ensuring strict compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and process daily financial transactions.
- Prepare and review journals, general ledgers, bank reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare periodic financial statements, management reports, and budgeting forecasts.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely transaction processing.
- Review invoices, payment requests, and expenses for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with payroll-related accounting activities and statutory deductions.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax requirements, regulatory obligations, and company policies.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant professional accounting experience.
- Ongoing or completed professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
