About the Role
Global Organics Limited, a pioneering leader in the Nigerian pharmaceutical and veterinary manufacturing sector, is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Known for our commitment to excellence and innovation, we are expanding our operations and looking for a dedicated finance professional to drive accuracy and financial compliance in our Lagos facility.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledger management.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Perform regular bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure healthy cash flow.
- Assist with budgeting, cash-flow management, and strategic financial analysis.
- Monitor inventory records and conduct routine stock reconciliations.
- Support cost accounting and production-related financial analysis for manufacturing operations.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and company financial policies.
- Prepare relevant schedules and reports for management and external auditors.
- Identify financial discrepancies and ensure timely, effective resolution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAN).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated experience with inventory, cost accounting, and stock reconciliation.
- Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Proximity to Abule-Egba, Iyana-Ipaja, Meiran, Agbado, Ota, Sango, and surrounding Lagos axes is strongly preferred.
