About the Role
The Milk Booster, Nigeria's foremost breastfeeding company providing healthy lactation treats to increase breastmilk supply, is seeking a dedicated and analytical Accountant to join our dynamic team in Iyana Ejigbo, Lagos. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping nursing mothers overcome low milk supply challenges by ensuring our business operations remain financially sound and efficient as we grow.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Monitor inventory records, reconcile stock levels, and analyze production costs.
- Develop comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to guide management decisions.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax regulations and statutory obligations.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
- Support internal and external audits to ensure seamless financial transparency.
- Continuously improve financial processes, internal controls, and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business growth objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant professional accounting certification is an added advantage.
- 1 to 3 years of proven accounting or finance experience.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
