About the Role
Glocient Hospitality is a premier hospitality management company transforming the Ikogosi Warm Springs and Resort in Ekiti State into a world-class, globally competitive vacation destination. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the resort's financial health, ensure accounting accuracy, and maintain robust liquidity. In this vital role, you will manage full-cycle financial transactions, from secure banking portals to comprehensive city ledger and credit control operations, directly contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Manage bank payment portals to ensure all disbursements and financial transactions are executed securely and accurately.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements in adherence to relevant accounting standards and company policies.
- Oversee city ledger accounts on the Property Management System (PMS) for corporate clients, travel agents, and group bookings, ensuring timely invoicing and debt collection.
- Monitor food and beverage standard cost KPIs, maintaining strict regulation at 35% and 24% respectively to drive departmental profitability.
- Collaborate with the Internal Control Specialist to integrate audited daily revenues from rooms, entry fees, and F&B into the general ledger.
- Oversee the asset register and prepare regular weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly financial reports for management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; professional certification (ICAN or ACCA) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional finance experience, with prior background in the hospitality or tourism sector strongly desired.
- Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software, Property Management Systems (PMS), corporate banking portals, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, asset accounting, and revenue recognition principles.
