We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our retail business. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling daily sales, and tracking inventory to ensure seamless business operations and financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Reconcile daily sales and cashier records by matching cash, POS, and transfer transactions across all terminals accurately.
- Collaborate with store and inventory teams to track stock levels, monitor shrinkage, and post necessary inventory adjustments to the ledger.
- Maintain accurate vendor and supplier accounts, process incoming invoices, and track payments due on schedule.
- Post daily accounting entries, manage petty cash disbursements, and assist management in preparing balance sheets and income statements.
- Generate comprehensive weekly and monthly sales, expense, and profit reports to guide supermarket management decision-making.
- Possession of an HND or B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably within the Nigerian retail or supermarket industry.
- Mandatory proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with basic accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho, or SAP.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
