About the Role

We are currently looking for a diligent and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic healthcare team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial integrity of our hospital by managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing actionable financial insights to management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for all hospital operations.
  • Record daily income, expenses, payments, and receipts promptly.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor hospital revenue, expenditures, and budgetary variances closely.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, POS transactions, cash collections, and other payment channels daily.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable, including managing HMO claims and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Prepare invoices and maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and timely processing of statutory payments.
  • Ensure strict compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
  • Provide management with reliable financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Support internal and external audits to ensure seamless financial reviews.
  • Safeguard the hospital’s financial assets and maintain the confidentiality of all financial information.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Professional certification or ongoing progression with ICAN or ACCA is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws, statutory payments, and HMO billing processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and high integrity.
