About the Role
Lovonus Microfinance Bank, licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and insured by the NDIC, is dedicated to delivering quality financial services to micro and small entrepreneurs. Located at the Iddo Ultra-modern Complex on the Lagos Mainland, we are currently seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to strengthen our finance department. In this vital role, you will ensure financial accuracy, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to the overall financial health of our growing institution.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records, general ledgers, and perform regular account reconciliations.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports in compliance with IFRS and relevant regulatory standards.
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, and portfolio management entries.
- Ensure timely submission of regulatory reports to the Central Bank of Nigeria and other relevant authorities.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Monitor cash flow, manage budgets, and support the management team in financial planning and decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the financial services or microfinance sector.
- Strong practical understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, and IFRS standards.
- ACA, ACCA qualification or active progress toward professional certification is an added advantage.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting or financial management software.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with uncompromising integrity and attention to detail.
