About the Role
PoweredUp Consulting is a fully indigenous organization focused on organizational enrichment through Human Resources, coaching, and professional capacity building. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will manage our financial health, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our leadership in making informed financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, monthly reports, and annual budgets in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory deductions, and other relevant financial regulations.
- Collaborate with management to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes.
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls and conducting regular audits.
- Manage payroll processing and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, including leadership or supervisory roles.
- Proven proficiency in using accounting software, with working knowledge of QuickBooks being a distinct advantage.
- Active professional certification in Accounting or Finance such as ICAN, CFA, or CIMA.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and impeccable integrity.
- Competitive gross monthly salary of NGN 500,000 to 550,000.
