About the Role
PoweredUp Consulting is a fully indigenous organization focused on organizational enrichment through Human Resources and Coaching. We are currently looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity, optimizing financial performance, and driving strategic growth for our organization and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily financial and accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive budgets, financial reports, and detailed variance analyses.
- Interpret financial results and recommend actionable process improvements.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and maintain strong banking relationships.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws, local accounting regulatory policies, and standards.
- Support strategic financial decision-making processes for leadership.
- Minimum of a First Degree (B.Sc / HND) in Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in an accounting or financial leadership role.
- Proficiency with accounting software, with working knowledge of QuickBooks as an added advantage.
- Professional qualification in Accounting and Finance such as ICAN, CFA, or CIMA is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
