We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to drive financial excellence for our client's engineering, construction, and project-based operations in Abuja. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring fiscal responsibility, accurate reporting, and robust financial control across multiple high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial transaction records for assigned projects.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, expenses, and overall financial performance against approved targets.
- Prepare comprehensive project financial reports, statements, and variance cost analyses.
- Process and reconcile invoices, payments, accounts receivable, and accounts payable efficiently.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management alongside project teams.
- Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and project accounts while tracking outstanding commitments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal company policies.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional field.
- Three to five years of relevant accounting experience within EPC, engineering, construction, oil and gas, or infrastructure environments.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting or ERP software.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Must reside in or be readily willing to relocate to Abuja.
