About the Role

Sylvastar Group is a diversified Nigerian conglomerate with its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria, operating across multiple sectors including real estate, agriculture, food and beverages, finance, and petrochemical manufacturing. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced Accountant to manage the company's financial records, accounting operations, reporting, and financial compliance across the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, accounting entries, and documentation across various business units.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
  • Reconcile bank statements, cashbooks, ledgers, and monitor company cash flow and expenses.
  • Process payroll-related accounting entries, staff advances, loans, and statutory deductions in collaboration with HR.
  • Assist with tax computations, statutory remittances, and support internal and external audits.
  • Monitor expenditure to ensure proper authorization and compliance with company financial policies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 to 4 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within a multi-business or group structure.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, office applications, and modern accounting software or ERP systems.
  • Exceptional numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with strict discretion and integrity.
  • Strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
