About the Role
Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited is a premier hospitality consultancy company incorporated in 2009, dedicated to elevating the standard of hospitality and leisure across small and medium hotels in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Accountant to manage our comprehensive financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide vital strategic support to hotel management.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records, general ledgers, and accounting documentation for daily transactions, income, and expenses.
- Perform daily revenue control by verifying departmental income and reconciling cash, POS, and bank transfers.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, actively following up on outstanding debts and processing supplier payments.
- Conduct regular bank and cash reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and monitoring cash collections.
- Prepare and verify monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy in staff salaries, deductions, and allowances.
- Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring departmental expenses against approved targets to control costs and prevent wastage.
- Collaborate with various departments to monitor inventory, stock purchases, and consumption variances.
- Generate comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including income statements and cash-flow data.
- Enforce internal controls, support internal and external audits, and maintain full tax and statutory compliance.
- Advise the General Manager on financial matters and provide actionable analysis to improve overall business profitability.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, revenue control, budgeting, and inventory management.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and general financial management tools.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance requirements.
