About the Role
BrainShare Technologies, a premier provider of network and IT services and a proud Gold Partner for Broadbased Communications Ltd, is seeking a motivated and analytical Accountant. In this critical role, you will serve as Assistant to the CFO, playing an integral part in managing our financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving strategic growth within the dynamic Nigerian tech sector.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the CFO in overseeing daily accounting and financial operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
- Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activities.
- Assist with financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Support tax planning, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and financial summaries for management and board meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience in a structured environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software (such as Zoho Books) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
