About the Role

We are currently looking for a meticulous and qualified Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations, prepare financial reports, ensure full tax compliance, and support our annual audit process. Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the organisation accounting system.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions and perform regular reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements and resolve outstanding items promptly.
  • Compute and remit monthly PAYE, VAT, withholding tax, pension, and NSITF contributions within statutory deadlines.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and compute depreciation in line with company policy.
  • Coordinate and support the annual external audit, preparing all required audit schedules.
  • Prepare quarterly budget-versus-actual variance analyses and report key findings to management.
  • Liaise with banks, FIRS, and other regulatory bodies on routine financial and compliance matters.
  • Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • ICAN Associate member or active ICAN/ACCA student with significant examinations completed.
  • Minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience in a structured organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws including CITA, PITA, and VAT Act.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial reporting capabilities.
  • Thorough understanding of FIRS regulations as applicable to financial statement preparation.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously without compromising quality.
