About the Role
Teesas Education App, Africa's premier learning gateway, is seeking a diligent and analytical Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Ikate, Lekki, Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting operational finance, and driving compliance in a fast-paced EdTech environment dedicated to transforming education across the continent.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledger accounts.
- Support the seamless execution of month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and management accounts to guide business decisions.
- Perform regular reconciliations for bank statements, vendors, and internal ledgers.
- Support internal and external audits while strengthening overall financial controls and compliance measures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with a minimum of a Second Class Upper (2:1) grade.
- 3 to 5 years of proven professional accounting experience, with prior experience in an audit firm considered a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and comprehensive knowledge of modern accounting principles and software.
