About the Role
BrandCo Nigeria Limited is a dynamic retail leader dedicated to bringing high-street fashion brands to the urban African consumer through world-class shopping experiences. We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Account Payables & Receivables Executive to join our finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our organization by ensuring accurate ledger management, seamless vendor relationships, and timely revenue collection in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, processing, and timely vendor payments.
- Oversee accounts receivable functions, tracking customer payments, reconciling accounts, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and aging analyses for management review.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts with high accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and internal company accounting policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and streamline financial workflows.
- Assist during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven professional experience in accounts payable and receivable roles, preferably within retail, FMCG, or distribution sectors.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional numerical accuracy, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor and customer relationship management.
