About the Role
Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC is a leading financial services group in Nigeria, offering comprehensive banking and wealth management solutions. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team and support our continued growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Review and process all payment transactions for goods and services procured on behalf of the Stanbic IBTC group in accordance with company policies.
- Process local and foreign payments efficiently, ensuring vendors are paid on time and accounts are accurately allocated with proper authorization.
- Review and reconcile prepayment accounts to guarantee accurate amortization and eliminate un-amortized balances.
- Support month-end closing activities, collaborate with business units, and ensure adherence to strict financial deadlines without service disruption.
- Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through prompt and professional communication.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA, or an MBA, will be considered an added advantage.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency in computer applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and enterprise accounting software packages.
- Strong behavioral and technical competencies including financial accounting, data interpretation, and adherence to procedures.
