About the Role

Global Manufacturing Alliance and Standards (GMAS) Chemical is a leading player in the sales, marketing, and distribution of industrial and specialty chemicals across Nigeria. Headquartered in Lagos with four distribution centers and a dedicated workforce, we bridge the gap between global manufacturers and local industries. We are currently seeking a proactive and meticulous Account Officer to join our finance team and support our continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, accounting records, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other essential financial documents.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable, actively following up on outstanding client and vendor payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements, cash records, and various financial accounts regularly.
  • Assist with payroll preparation, expense processing, and periodic financial reporting.
  • Monitor daily cash flow, ensure proper documentation, and verify expense approvals.
  • Maintain organized physical and digital financial records for seamless audit and regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise professionally with vendors, customers, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Support the Finance Manager with budget monitoring and ad-hoc accounting duties.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on accounting or finance experience in a structured organization.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles, financial procedures, and Nigerian tax regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software applications.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of professional integrity.
  • In-progress or completed professional accounting certifications such as ICAN or ACCA will be an added advantage.
