About the Role
Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited is a premier hospitality consultancy company incorporated in 2009, dedicated to elevating the standard of hospitality and leisure across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Account Officer to oversee financial operations at our vibrant club, lounge, and bar location in Lagos. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding company assets, driving financial accuracy, and preventing revenue leakage in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Record daily sales from the bar, restaurant, lounge, and VIP sections, and reconcile them with POS reports, cash collections, and online bank transfers.
- Manage cash collections, verify cashier handovers, conduct routine cash counts, and investigate any cash shortages or overages.
- Collaborate with the Storekeeper and Bar Manager to monitor stock movement, conduct inventory audits, and identify variances or wastage in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests while overseeing petty cash expenses and operational costs.
- Prepare comprehensive daily revenue reports, POS reconciliations, expense summaries, and monthly income and expenditure statements.
- Monitor complimentary items, discounts, voids, and refunds to ensure strict compliance with management policies and prevent fraud.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an Account Officer, Cashier, or Auditor, preferably within the hospitality, hotel, club, or lounge industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and electronic POS reconciliation systems.
- Exceptional numerical skills, high integrity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
