About the Role
Concerned Women International Development Initiative (CWIDI) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Officer to join our dynamic team in Benue State. In this role, you will be pivotal in managing our day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate records, supporting grant budgeting, and ensuring strict compliance with donor and organizational policies to advance gender equality and health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, cash books, journals, and general ledgers using QuickBooks.
- Support the preparation of grant proposal budgets, monitor project expenditures, and conduct variance analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports and assist in drafting donor-specific financial reports.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and review project advance retirement documents for policy compliance.
- Manage monthly payroll schedules, staff timesheets, and ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions like PAYE.
- Support internal and external audits while maintaining and updating the organizational asset register.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant finance experience, ideally within the NGO or donor-funded sector.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of statutory Nigerian financial regulations and tax remittances.
- Excellent analytical skills, high integrity, and a strict attention to detail.
- Residency in Benue State is a strict requirement for this position.
