We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical Account Officer to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our organization by ensuring accuracy in our bookkeeping, timely reconciliations, and strict compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts on a regular basis.
  • Working closely with Accounts Payable to ensure cashbook transactions are submitted timely for capture into the accounting system.
  • Accurately recording daily financial transactions into the accounting software.
  • Performing bank reconciliations regularly and timely.
  • Ensuring all financial records comply with relevant regulatory standards.
  • Assisting in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies or errors in financial records promptly.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Inputting financial data meticulously into spreadsheets and databases.
  • Preparing invoices for management approval.
  • Providing necessary support during statutory financial audits.
  • Performing other finance-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related courses.
  • 3 to 4 years of proven work experience in accounting or bookkeeping practice.
  • Professional membership or ongoing affiliation with ICAN, CFA, ACCA, or CMA is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, with hands-on experience in QuickBooks.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly high proficiency in MS Excel and Google Spreadsheets.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional accuracy in data entry.
  • High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Good team player with the ability to take instructions accurately and execute tasks efficiently.
