We are currently recruiting an experienced Account Officer on behalf of our client in the manufacturing sector. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong foundation in accounting who is eager to build a long-term career within a dynamic production environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Accountant to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Process day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records.
- Support inventory accounting, physical stock counts, and comprehensive stock reconciliation processes.
- Collaborate with operations teams to manage production costing and standard costing procedures.
- Assist the finance team with timely and accurate month-end reporting and financial analysis.
- Ensure adherence to basic Nigerian tax regulations and statutory financial requirements.
- Work cross-functionally to resolve financial discrepancies and support internal control measures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Progress towards professional certifications such as ICAN ATS is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience using modern accounting software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory valuation, production costing, and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of local tax laws and financial compliance standards in Nigeria.
