About the Role
Dicalo Consulting Group is a leading management consulting firm dedicated to driving business growth and operational excellence. On behalf of our esteemed client in the manufacturing sector, we are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead the finance department. The ideal candidate will take charge of overall financial operations, cost management, budgeting, and statutory compliance, ensuring robust internal controls and accurate reporting to support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Manage cost accounting, production costing, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold while monitoring manufacturing variances.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, statutory requirements, and accounting standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, resolving findings and maintaining stringent internal controls to prevent financial losses.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to the accounting team to drive peak performance.
- Liaise with banks, regulatory authorities, and tax consultants as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Mandatory working experience within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong proficiency in cost accounting, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Must reside within Agbara or its immediate environs.
- Provided lunch during work hours.
- Sunday overtime compensation.
