Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, accounts, and ledgers in accordance with industry standards.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor cash flow, income, expenses, and overall financial transactions to ensure optimal liquidity.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve any financial discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure strict compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.
- Assist leadership with budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable to guarantee timely collections and disbursements.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing accurate financial documentation.
- Identify financial risks and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience within the financial services sector.
- Strong proficiency in modern accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of local tax laws, financial reporting, and reconciliation procedures.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ICAN or ACCA will be a distinct advantage.
