About the Role
Pacific International Drilling, a global leader in ultra-deepwater offshore drilling, is seeking a skilled and dedicated 1st Engineer (Senior) to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. As a 1st Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining our high-specification drillships, ensuring optimal performance of all mechanical and electrical systems while upholding our rigorous health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems and equipment onboard.
- Ensure strict compliance with company and industry HSE practices and the HSE Management System.
- Implement and oversee Preventive Maintenance Systems (PMS) to maximize equipment reliability.
- Read, interpret, and apply electrical and mechanical drawings for repairs and installations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to drive continuous improvement in daily operations.
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), WAEC, or GCE O'Level certification.
- OND, HND, or B.Sc. in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with Preventive Maintenance Systems and reading technical drawings.
- Must be a Nigerian resident currently residing in Nigeria with fluent oral and written English communication skills.
