About the Role

Nestle Nigeria is currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Project Draftsman to join our dynamic Technical and Production team at the Flowergate Factory. In this role, you will be responsible for producing, revising, and interpreting precise project drawings, plant layouts, and technical details to support our capital investment projects. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that all construction and equipment installations conform strictly to approved design principles and OEM requirements, maintaining accurate as-built records from project inception through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce, revise, and interpret accurate engineering drawings, factory layouts, and spare-parts details.
  • Verify that site construction and equipment installations conform to approved designs and capture necessary as-built changes.
  • Coordinate closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to synchronize drawings with equipment delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless, first-time-right project delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive drawing configuration management, including version control, approvals, and secure technical documentation.
  • Support basic and detailed design phases in compliance with local regulations, company standards, and User Requirements Specifications.
  • Uphold strict Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) standards throughout all project implementation and startup activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in capital investment project development within the food and beverage or FMCG manufacturing industry.
  • Strong proficiency in creating, reading, and interpreting complex engineering drawings and industrial factory layouts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in document control, revision management, and maintaining accurate as-built documentation.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively alongside multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and external consultants.
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality compliance.
  • Project Management certification and familiarity with modern engineering technologies will be considered strong advantages.
